perspective

a friend of mine posted this. if you`re not fond of the word “God,” just replace it with life, universal energy, goldfish, whatever you may fancy.
“God uses loneliness to teach us about living together.
Sometimes she uses anger so that we can understand the infinite value of peace.
At other times she uses tedium, when she wants to show us the importance of adventure and leaving things behind.
God uses silence to teach us about the responsibility of what we say.
At times she uses fatigue so that we can understand the value of waking up.
At other times she uses sickness to show us the importance of health.
God uses fire to teach us about water.
Sometimes she uses earth so that we can understand the value of air. And at times she uses death when she wants to show us the importance of life”

“Who taught you to hate the color of your skin?Who taught you to hate the texture of your hair?Who taught you to hate the shape of your nose and the shape of your lips?Who taught you to hate yourself from the top of your head to the soles of your feet?Who taught you to hate your own kind?Who taught you to hate the race that you belong to so much so that you don’t want to be around each other?”
